About the Eastern Africa Edition

The Africa Food Safety & Nutrition Eastern Africa edition has been taking place in Nairobi, Kenya since 2021.

The 2021 edition, which was held virtually, opened the way for the way for the event to be staged again in 2022 in a hybrid format. The event has since grown into the other regions of Africa, following the success of the first two editions in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Africa Food Safety & Nutrition Eastern Africa edition is focused on shedding light into the food safety, nutrition and food security opportunities, challenges and trends in the Eastern Africa region, which encompasses such diverse countries as Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC, Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia.

At the Summit, attendees will discover the latest ideas and appropriate solutions and technologies that shall boost Eastern Africa’s capacity to avail safe food to its growing population, while enabling the region to trade better within itself and into the regional and international markets.
